At Bearwood we provide home learning opportunities most weeks of the year. Home Learning is given out on a Wednesday and is due in the following Monday or Tuesday.
Each week we expect our children to read at least three times, practise their times tables / number facts and practise spellings or phonics each week. For children in Year 3 - Year 6 we use 'Times Tables Rockstars' - an online programme to help children practise their times tables. Every child who has access to this has login details and a password already provided in school. If you do not have access to these, please contact your class teacher via the school office. There is also a 'talk about' task where we ask you as families to discuss an aspect of learning that would have been covered in class that week.
For Years 3 - 6, in addition to the weekly skills practice, creative projects linked to learning from the classroom are also given. This is an opportunity for the children to show what they know from their learning. It is fantastic to see all the creative ideas on display in our very own 'learning museum' in school.
Please see also our Remote Learning Policy for further information about our home learning offer.
