School Development Plan 2025 - 2026
Priority 1: Strong Leadership and Positive Behaviour
- We’re refining routines and expectations so that children know what is expected and can focus on learning.
- Staff are working together to maintain clear and consistent behaviour expectations.
- We’re embedding these same expectations during breaktimes and lunchtimes to support positive social interactions.
Priority 2: High-Quality Teaching of Writing
- Writing lessons will follow a clear structure to help children make strong progress.
- Children will be given more opportunities to talk about their ideas, helping to close gaps in language and communication.
Priority 3: Inclusion – Supporting Every Child
- Teachers will use assessment information to adapt lessons and provide targeted support.
- We’re refining how we identify and respond to children’s needs, so help is timely and effective.
- For children with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) and those on the SEN register, we’re ensuring the curriculum is tailored to help them make strong progress.
Priority 4: Early Years – A Strong Start
- We’re aligning the curriculum across Nursery and Reception so that all children benefit from a consistent and high-quality experience.
- Staff are focusing on rich, high-quality interactions to help children make rapid progress in communication and language.
