Ofsted Report

Bearwood Primary and Nursery School is a GOOD School

Following the most recent Ofsted inspection of Bearwood Primary and Nursery School in September 2019, it is with great pleasure that I share with you a copy of the report from Her Majesty’s Inspector Jen Southall. In summary, the report confirms that the school remains ‘good’ and signposts the findings of the inspection.

The report is extremely positive and given the challenging new revised Ofsted framework that came in to effect in September 2019, we were very pleased with the outcomes across the board. The inspectors identified so many strengths.

Throughout the thorough two day inspection, of which we were one of the first schools to be inspected under the new framework, there were many strengths identified which have not appeared due to the new succinct style of reporting. This includes our work on attendance where we achieved 96.72% compared to national of 95.2% and focused work on meeting the needs of our disadvantaged pupils.

The report also demonstrates the impact of the support provided by parents/carers for the school. I would therefore like to acknowledge and thank you for your continued support. I hope that you find the inspection outcome report informative and as pleasing as we do. However if you do have any questions arising please do not hesitate to make contact with the school by email at school@bearwood.poole.sch.uk.

In conclusion, all that remains to say is that I am immensely proud of the inspection outcome and the efforts of everyone who contributes daily to our high quality provision here at Bearwood Primary and Nursery School.
